The topic of Affiliate Marketing is a subject that I did not know much about until about a month ago when I just so happen to stumble upon it while browsing the internet on a Saturday morning. I began to research this business that can be operated by online marketing. Just like many other people in today’s economy I am interested in any opportunity to make extra money to help supplement my income. While doing research I start to notice a lot of people were making some serious money doing Affiliate Marketing. This had me intrigued and excited that maybe one day I could also be at that same level as some of people I was researching. After my initial excitement I decided to sign up for a site that was free and would allow me to start making serious money like the people I watched on videos on different websites and platforms. All of them had different methods but the same message which was if I follow these few easy steps I can start making money in no time and all you needed to start this business is a computer and internet connection. All these statements were appealing and I signed up that day. However in the upcoming weeks that followed I found it to be more challenging than I first perceived. The first obstacle was while I was doing my initial research most people were saying in order to be successful you needed your own domain and website. While these are not expensive to get but I am a broke college student who lives on a strict budget this was a dilemma for me rather to buy my domain and website. After I decided not to buy the domain and website I researched different ways to market the items I wanted to promote. I started to promote on social media which was good until I came to realization that unless you have a core following on any of the popular social media sites. This would not help you gain traffic to your product. This put me at a crossroads where I found myself today should I continue with Affiliate Marketing or try another online business or maybe even pay for a website and domain to gain more traffic. These are all questions that I would like to know but it seems like no one will give the information away for free. Everyone wants you to pay them money to join their “team” or website promising if you do they will give you some bullet proof steps to make your business successful. I understand that nothing in life is free and that their information may be able to help me and provide me with the steps I need to see some results. As many people know in today’s economy it is hard to rely on words like maybe, might or may because these words do not matter when your rent, car note, utility bill is due. As well many people today just don’t have the extra money to spend to gain this knowledge or skills needed to succeed in this field. On the other hand what I possess and many Americans is that we are highly motivated to make a change in our lives. Many people are fed up seeing other people be successful and make it seem effortless. This have influence many people to do either two things one to give up or to try to make a change. I have decided I’m going to do the latter and make a change in my life. During my entire research some information is provided just enough to get you to sign up and fill out your information but not all the steps needed to be successful. So if anybody agrees with me comment below and maybe we can work together as real “team” not just for profit or personal gain. Also if anyone has found success in Affiliate Marketing or any online business comment below and give me your advice.
