Sometimes it seems extremely hard to get those first 100 visitors to your website or blog it can be frustrating and overwhelming when this happens. In most cases this happens when you are just creating your first content and you just don’t know how to generate traffic. I can speak from personal experience when I first created my site I had no idea how to gain traffic or where to start. When I started to research I found there were many ways to accomplish this some worked pretty well and others were not effective. So in today’s post I’m going to share seven ways to increase traffic to your website or blog.
1. Facebook groups:
Facebook is a great promotion tool whether you’re in the B2B or B2C industry. Facebook Group promotion in my experience gives more traffic than a fan page. Group promotion not only helps to target right audience but also helps to give quality traffic to the website.
2. Optimize your site for SEO:
Trying to manipulate the search-engine rankings is a losing proposition at this point. Instead, what you should be concerned with is making your site look as good as possible for the search engine robots that will be crawling your website.
3. Mix It Up:
There is no magic formula for content marketing success, despite what some would have you believe. For this reason, vary the length and format of your content to make it as appealing as possible to different kinds of readers.
4. Submit articles to websites:
This is an effective way to gain easy free traffic. Some of the sites I would recommend Ezinearticles.com, SubmitYOURarticle.com and ArticleDashboard.com.
5. Social bookmarking:
Social bookmarking sites allow users to bookmark their favorite websites that other people can publicly view and vote up or down. If you bookmark useful content other people will find it, share it, and vote it up so others can enjoy it.
6. Sense of Community:
People want to speak their minds and weigh in on subjects they feel passionately about, so building a community into your site is a great way to start a conversation and increase traffic to your website.
7. Power of Comments
Commenting is a simple and essential tool to increase your websites traffic.This is very simple and easy to do just leave comments on other blogs, websites or YouTube videos to drive new traffic. Make sure you leave your sites URL in your comment, so you create a link back to your own site.
