Starting From The Bottom: Nowhere To Go But Up

Whether in school, business, goals or just in life many of us have started from the bottom at some-point in our life. Starting from the bottom can be overwhelming especially when we realize how far we have to go to reach our goals. Reaching our ultimate goal can be difficult and downright impossible when we first began our journey.

The Beginning

We all know in the beginning of anything rather it’s a new relationship, new job or just a new endeavor we take on. There may be obstacles that we have to overcome and sometimes this can be daunting. During this stage it is imperative that we stay focused on our goal. Without focus we can easily give up and not continue on our journey to success. In many cases getting past the “beginning stage” may be the most challenging. Majority of us know starting something is the hardest part to just start.

Life’s Obstacles

For the most part you have to go through many years of hard work, dedication and endure personal self-doubt, but also deal with the uncertainty of actually achieving what you originally set out that you want to do. This can be problematic, because sometimes finding the inner strength to actually follow through on our goals and passions can be overwhelming. This can be problematic when we are starting from the bottom, because we may face a lot of adversity during this stage. No matter what we always have to remember our ultimate goal and we can make it our dreams a reality.

Final Thoughts

In the end it doesn’t matter where we start from only where we are going. I have adopted the mantra “There’s nowhere to go but up” when I feel like giving up or not giving my all to my passions. Always remember only courageous people accomplish their dreams.

True. When you are at the bottom there’s nowhere else to go but up! Self-doubt is one of the hardest things to deal with though. When others doubt you, it’s a bit easy to use that as motivation to prove them wrong but when its self-doubt, it takes a lot of determination to overcome and motivate yourself.

I love this! If you want to take it a step further you could say sometimes going down might be a good thing… like landing on pillows after a long day. You can’t let the bad get you too down for too long.

  16. Life is a constant journey which one must never sit idle. You could start something new or sit idle too long and have to go up. Often, the journey isn’t the hard part, but staying up is.

There has to be no looking back if you want to live your dreams. It’s a very tedious and courageous task to do. But that’s what make it interesting and fun to do.
Courage and persistence over everything. 🙂
