For many us who, strive to be successful in whatever path we choose in life have to overcome self-doubt, obstacles, and trials and tribulations. Often times our biggest obstacles is our own mind, because although it may sound cliché but our mind is truly a power thing. The thoughts that we let enter mind through TV, friends/family, Social Media and just daily interaction with people can have huge effect on our mindset towards success. For example, if day in and day out we allow naysayers or as I like to call negative Nancy’s transfer their thoughts to us. We often build a “box” that we believe is a comfortable place to be, we put ourselves in it, and then wonder why things aren’t working out the way we’d like them to. Here are four methods we can use to stop limit.
- Don’t Play Yourself Small:
Many rimes we limit ourselves by automatically saying what we can and cannot do. If we want to make a huge breakthrough in our lives we rid our mind of limits. This goes back to the concept of thinking realistic, but in contrast when we believe where we going Is more important than where we are at the moment.
- Define Your Beliefs:
Determining our beliefs is important to understanding what we want out of ourselves. Beliefs are mental notions and expectations we have, about ourselves and the world around us, that we hold onto as absolute truths. They are formed through our experiences and exchanges with the world. In the end having a belief is something is key to our predestined success. As a wise man once told me “if you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything”.
- Find The Birthplace:
All self-doubt comes from somewhere it be from childhood, teenage years, early twenties or even last year. Every limit factor comes from a place of fear, confusion or simply doubt in one’s on ability. A great way to overcome this is by figuring out what instances occurred to cause us to feel this way. Be exact and write them down using as many words as needed to describe them. This will help with the process of moving forward and overcoming these doubts.
- Read, Listen & Mediate:
When we have negative thoughts, self-doubt or fear usually it is because we often think about them constantly. Every day we might have thoughts running through our mind that our filled with regret, pain and self-doubt. One way we can take control of these thoughts is by reading or listening to positive messages. These will help us cut out some of the empty noise that is created by our self-doubt. Also mediation is a great way to clear our mind and release all the negative energy we may have built up during our day.

I agree with all your points and as usual you lay them down very well 🙂 Often breakthroughs are about breaking out of those really small self limitations.

I am on the same page Jay, as soon as we have self doubt, negative thoughts we need to CHANGE our FREQUENCY to the POSITIVE, get up, jump around, sing, play with your pet, go for a long walk, deep breathing, laughter……, WE are the creators of our own destiny.

Sometimes, a change in “course” might be needed. It is very important to stop and self-reflect often.
