Mindset For Success

Everyone wants a successful happy life. You are probably like me and have many goals you want to achieve. Whether these goals are for business, home, family, or self-improvement, setting your mindset for success is key. Without a proper mindset you may find yourself distracted by daily life or experiencing shiny object syndrome.  Having a great mindset sets truly successful people apart from those who never realize their dreams. The real secret to success is your mindset. The thoughts you have, the beliefs you hold and the actions you take based on those beliefs.  There is no secret formula that you need to be successful all the tools you need are already inside of you.  So I will share seven keys to have a successful mindset. If you agree or disagree with these keys comment below.

  1. Clearly define what it is that you want to do:

I know this may seem hard to do but very successful people care about their lives more than the average person. They take the time to analyze their lives, to look closely at their vision and their purpose in life

  1. Believe in yourself:

Attitude is everything. A negative attitude decreases success and a positive attitude creates success. Without that belief in yourself, you’ll lack a path to success.

  1. Focus:

This characteristic is what I have found to be the most important when it comes to success in any area. Once you have awakened to the possibilities of success, you also realize the many opportunities that abound. And it is easy to allow yourself to become scattered.

  1. Success by Association:

This point is very important for anyone trying to be successful you have to understand that without this step it is virtually impossible to be successful. Surrounding yourself around other like-minded people who want to be successful will help you on your journey to success.

  1. Have a purpose and a vision:

Visualization is powerful because actions follow thoughts. A great technique for nurturing your vision and purpose is to make your goals visual. Some people use vision boards; otherswrite their goals down.

  1. Do what you love:

You’re more likely to succeed in any aspect of your life when you’re invested in your passion and making it your career. There is a way to find passion about anything and everything you do in life.

  1. Outcome Oriented:

Have you known anyone that is absolutely driven to succeed?  No matter what the obstacle they keep going. And in most cases it is because they have extraordinary clarity on the outcome. They took the time to clearly define what it is that they wanted to do. They stopped and thought about their life, and what it was that they wanted to accomplish and this gave them the drive to see the task all the way to its outcome.

It’s a really very useful post. Your post says that, you have done lots of research (or brain storming) on success. No word is remaining to define the success.

I agree with you, and this applies not just to business or career, but also to any goal that we want to achieve, like losing weight or writing a blog. Also important is to have perseverance, and never give up. You might have everything down on this checklist, but there will always be setbacks, and you can’t give up at the first or at the worst sign of trouble. Another important point is to be willing to learn from failure. Sometimes, failure comes as a sign to steer us in the direction we need. Learning from failure and overcoming it is also essential to success.

I love your key components of success and agree. I cannot stress the importance of surrounding oneself with like-minded people as well as successful people. As I have started to chase after my dreams, I have had to eliminate some people from my life because they were so negative and dragging me down. I have replaced these with positive people who are also entrepreneurs and it has made a world of difference.
    Thank you!

  23. Why do some people succeed?
While others always seem to fail?
How can we define success? Is success…

    The teacher
Who is teaching school because that’s what he or she wanted to do?

    …or the MOTHER
Who wanted to become a wife and mother and is doing a great job of it?

    …or the SALESPERSON
Who wants to become a top notch salesperson and grow with their organization

    …or the ENTREPRENEUR
Who starts their own company because that was their dream.

SUCCESS can be defined as the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.

Is there a secret to SUCCESS and FAILURE?
    The answer is yes.

You become what you think about

Now how does it work. Why do we become what we think about?
Suppose a farmer has some land and its good for a land now the land gives the farmer a choice, to make plant in that land whatever he chooses the land doesent careits up to the farmer to make the decisions. Now remember we are comparing human mind with land. Because the mind like the land doesn’t care what you plant on it,it will return what you plant, but it doesn’t care what you plant.
Now lets say that the farmer has two seeds in his hand. One is the seed of corn the other is nightshade (a deadly poison)
He digs two little holes in the land and he plants both seeds.
One corn the other nightshade. He covers up the holes, waters and take care of the land, and what will happen?
Ofcourse the land would return what he planted.
So up come the two plant, one corn, one poison .
now, the human is far more fertile, far more incredible ,mysterious to the land but it works the same way. It doesn’t care what we plant, success, failure, a worthwhile goal, greed .confusion, misunderstanding, fear, and so on but we plant it will return to us. You see the human mind is the last great unexplored continent on the earth. It contains riches beyond our world and dreams it will return anything we want to plant.
decide now what is it what you wanr plant your goals in your mind. It’s the most important decision you ever make in your entire life.

    Jay,
In about 25 minutes I leave for a job interview for an entirely new career! I’m leaving a career of 20 years that I once truly enjoyed but over the last 5 not so much. This new career is in wood working which has been a passion of mine since I was a very very young man and I must say reading this has reinforced my attitude.

I woke up absolutely pumped and have been counting the minutes as it’s so hard not to show up an hour early for this. While I’m going back to entry level everything including pay I am also going to be doing something I am passionate about every day. Thanks for posting this.

  40. Success is having that self-awareness to know how far you can go that is well within scope of reality. Setting realistic goals is crucial in your success in life. Nothing wrong with setting your sights high, but know what it takes to reach that goal.
