“Trust the Process”
This quote became famous from a former Philadelphia 76ers executive Sam Hinkie who stated “trust the process”. Even though this thought process eventually lead to Hinkie being fired we can learn a lot from his sentiment. In our daily lives many times we can become impatient with the process it takes to make our dreams or goals a reality. This is prevalent in today’s microwave society where we want everything in five minutes or less. This mindset can make trusting the process inconceivable in our minds. Whether it’s going after our dreams, trying to lose a few pounds or making life changes. We all have to trust the process we lessen the likelihood we will achieve anything meaningful.
Have Faith in the Unseen
This goes back to the underlying thought that when we trust in something we automatically have faith. To have faith is to have deep sense of trust in what cannot be seen. Proof or confirmation is not needed to have faith in the process. Rather you’re religious or not having faith is essential to making our goals reality. To trust the process, completely is not need to know what is unfolding or why, but to simply have the belief that what you’re doing is ultimately going to work. Regardless of the time, challenges or obstacle’s we must overcome to achieve our success.
Believe in the Process
Without putting in the time, effort and self-belief it is downright impossible to accomplish our goals. Consequently we have to believe in whatever we’re doing no matter what circumstances unfolded in our lives. This concept is better said than done but once we realize that the journey we’re own is predestined for success.
Final Thoughts
To trust the process means to know and have faith that there is a divine plan moving through you and your life. In the end when you trust the process of life, you connect with a sense of oneness, serendipity and unconditional love. This makes our path clear because we have trust in where our life is heading.

So true – I’d rather fail trying to make my dreams come true, rather than never dream anything. It doesnt even matter if we get there bc we will learn so much along the way. Also, love the ending quote :)) bc he has “no doubt!” and is so sure of himself –jess

Great post, if I can be so bold, I’ll throw in my two cents. It’s interesting that you refrenced the exclusion of religeous identity as a precursor to faith, but summarized that faith itself has Divine origin. That you surmised correctly, faith is an intrisic value relative to humanity alone. But universal oneness. Serendipity and unconditional love spoken in the same sentence becomes a New Age concept and the epitomy of religeosity. Predestination can only come from the Almighty Himself, it cannot come from a universal collective consciousness that is void of the Divine attribute of prophetic sovergnty. In other words, when a man’s ways are pleasing to the Lord, He will grant him the desires of his heart. The process of life is God’s plan for humanity as a whole and individually found and expressed through the revelation of Jesus the Christ and epiphany lived out daily in submission to the will of God. Amen.

Very good point. And I don’t think it matters whether or not you’re religious – anyone can trust the process, focus on the journey and not the destination, experience flow. These thoughts definitely reminded me of how important the concept of flow is – when you’re fully focused and absorbed in an activity such that you may lose track of time, forget about the past and the future, the precedent and the outcome, and focus only on the present moment. Your post also made me think of Constantine P. Cavafy’s poem “Ithaka:”
As you set out for Ithaka
hope the voyage is a long one,
full of adventure, full of discovery.
Laistrygonians and Cyclops,
angry Poseidon—don’t be afraid of them:
you’ll never find things like that on your way
as long as you keep your thoughts raised high,

The process is everything but people looking from outside diner realize it. Sometimes they want to reach the goal and not have to go through the process.
Beginning, process, destination- I think that’s how it goes or it should go.
Sometimes we think we are taking so much time at the process and hmmm who told us a process of meant to take a short/long time?
Maybe not just trust the process but TRUST THE PROCESS AND WELL AS ITS TIMING.

Trust…now there’s a word to reflect on. What does “trust” mean? I can trust the process because I know that where I am right now is where I’m supposed to be. I can trust the process because I BELIEVE in the process. I can trust the process because I realize that the breath of my life experience is made up of “grow” points, and “glow” points. I have not been denied anything that contributes to my highest and best. I am in no hurry to get there, ’cause the journey is part of the process. My beloved Mother used to say that I don’t miss anything. I’m curious, and maybe even a bit noisy. The process is too precious to allow my misgivings [if I have any] to interrupt it. Bring in on!!!

Enjoyed reading this post! I really like your reference to us living in a “microwave society” it’s so true! Just based off myself, sometimes I find myself getting so frustrated when things don’t work out in a blink of an eye or sometimes I will allow time but the time allowed i will find haven’t I been waiting long enough? It’s funny that we think this way! One example in my life is weight loss, I have been trying to shed some pounds for the past couple months and it hasn’t been progressing as fast as I would like but then I think…it took me about 5 years to gain these extra 15 pounds of course it won’t disappear overnight! And that simple thought helps bring me back down to earth 😝 everything is time

I believe in the divine plan. There are things we can do to change that plan and make the path more circuitous but the plan exists.
